How did you first get started in photography?

Like many, I was a mom with a good camera. It wasn’t until a long time photographer told me that I had a “natural eye and ability” that I decided to pursue photography as a career. Now I strive to capture for other moms the moments I cherish and the moments I missed with my own girls.

How has using Iris impacted your business?
I have been using Iris for 3 years. Iris helps me keep everything in one place! Once a client fills out the questionnaire I can go to a session knowing everyone’s names and all they love about their kids. I can easily send my guides to inquiries, follow up, book sessions and send contracts. My favorite Iris feature are the contracts. I love having everything in once place. Though, the calendar is a life saver too.
What are your future goals for your business? What are you looking forward to?
I just want to be a little more consistent and to capture the in between moments more. The details we all love.

If you could go back to when you first started in photography, what advice would you give yourself?
Shoot for yourself. What you love. DO NOT COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS. That’s the hardest lesson for me.
